Building materials

I make a conscious effort to use reclaimed or upcycled materials wherever possible when creating items for my store. By carefully sourcing and repurposing materials that still have plenty of life in them, I aim to reduce waste and give new purpose to existing resources. This approach not only helps lower environmental impact but also makes each piece more unique and meaningful. Wherever I can, I ensure that all materials are of high quality and suitable for their intended use, so you receive a product that is both thoughtfully made and built to last.

If I am unable to source recycled materials I make sure I buy my wood from FSC certified suppliers.

FSC-certified wood is timber sourced from forests managed according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards, verified by the Forest Stewardship Council https://fsc.org. It ensures responsible forestry, protecting biodiversity and indigenous rights while guaranteeing traceability through the supply chain from forest to consumer.

Packing materials

I am committed to reducing my environmental impact, which is why I reuse packaging materials wherever possible when sending out orders. Boxes, padding, and protective wrapping that are still in excellent condition are carefully selected and repurposed to ensure your items arrive safely. This helps minimise waste and reduces the need for new packaging materials. While the outer packaging may sometimes show signs of previous use, I always make sure it is clean, secure, and fit for purpose—so you can shop with confidence while supporting a more sustainable approach.
